The rules for using AllNote Transcribe, in plain English.

The service

AllNote Transcribe turns audio and video files into text using automatic speech recognition, from the team behind allnote.ai. You don't need an account. By uploading a file or paying, you agree to these terms and our privacy notice.

Your files

• Only upload recordings you have the right to transcribe, with permission from the people speaking where the law requires it.
• Don't upload anything illegal, or use the service to harass anyone or break someone else's rights.
• Your files and transcripts stay yours. We use them only to make and deliver your transcript, then delete them as described in the privacy notice.
• Download what you need: after deletion we can't get a transcript back.

Prices and payment

• Prices are shown before you pay: per file, or as credit packs measured in minutes of audio. Taxes are added at checkout where they apply.
• Payments are handled by Stripe. Your credits are tied to the email used at checkout.
• Credits never expire and can be used on any later file. They can't be exchanged for cash or moved to another email.
• Student bonus credits are for students and staff using a university email, and may be withdrawn if misused.

When something goes wrong

• If a file fails to transcribe, the credits it used go back to your balance automatically and we email you.
• The free preview is there so you can judge quality before paying. Accuracy depends on the recording: noise, crosstalk and strong accents lower it. Automatic transcripts can contain mistakes, so check anything important, especially for legal, medical or published use.
• If you're unhappy with a paid transcript, contact us with the transcript link and we'll put it right or refund you. This doesn't affect your legal rights as a consumer.

Fair use

To keep the service working for everyone we limit file size and length, free previews per day and the number of files processing at once. We may block uploads or payments that look automated or abusive.

Liability

We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. Beyond that, and as far as the law allows, we're not responsible for indirect losses, and our total liability for any file is limited to what you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit.

Changes
